The research facility was designed to accommodate CSIRO’s robotics program. This meant the construction had to incorporate a level floor throughout with little to no trip hazards. The shed was equipped with a gantry crane that enabled access to lift in and out of the pool. The shed was also built on rock so construction had to overcome excavation within rock foundations.
