Bryant delivered The Gap State High School’s brand new 4 storey GLA, consisting of a basement carpark, undercroft, ground and first floor. The GLA includes various General Learning Areas, Visual Arts Rooms (with floating gallery panels) and a staff kitchenette pod that overlooks the school oval, supported by an impressive structural column. The undercroft with its audio visual projectors and speakers for students performances includes Lightwell and conc bench seats. Externally, various landscape areas and walkways were created to link existing school facilities.
Towards the end of the build the project team undertook a 3 GLA Undercroft Infill Variation as well as resurfacing the existing basketball court and external hardstand replacements works throughout the school.Along with many design challenges, major rain events causing delays, trade shortages and the impact of Covid-19 the final result of this project is incredible
