Bryant delivered a multi-storey GLA, administration building, covered walkway, staff carpark, outdoor sports court & grounds shed for Yandina State School in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The build was separated into 3 portions:
– SP1: The demolition of existing sports court, replacing them with new outdoor sports court and grounds shed.
– SP2: Construction of a 6 classroom GLA, outdoor learning, administration office and staff rooms, and external landscaping.
– SP3: The demolition of an existing demountable that was to be retained for general learning once the build was complete.
As always, latent conditions and upgrades to the site caused challenges, along with weather impacts, remediation replacement works and sanitary decommissioning of the whole school while it was operational. However, Bryant’s project team tackled these challenges by providing onsite program mitigation, delivering a high quality product which has also enabled the school to enroll additional local children.
